About Our Directors:

Rabbi Yisroel New

Rabbi Yisroel, originally from Melbourne, Australia, is the Associate Co-Director at Chabad of Lexington. A veteran Judiac studies educator, with over 10 years of experience, he enjoys bringing his passion and joy for Judaism to the classroom. Rabbi Yisroel has a unique and engaging teaching style that both intrigues and captures the creativity of children and young adults by bringing our rich Jewish history alive. Rabbi Yisroel received his Rabbinate ordination from the Chief Justice of the Rabbinical High Court in Jerusalem, Rabbi Zalman Nechmia Goldberg.

Mrs. Mali New 

Mali New is a born and bred Lexingtonian and the Associate Co-Director at Chabad of Lexington. With countless years of Judaic teaching experience, Mali brings an unparalleled passion and interpersonal know-how to connect with children of all ages. With her bachelor’s degree in psychology, Mali excels in communicating with each child at their level and creating a most nurturing environment to learn and grow.
